Frequently asked questions

What is a task title generator?

A task title generator creates clear, actionable titles for to-do list items — combining a verb, a specific object and optionally a deadline or priority tag. TaskTagger does this entirely in your browser from the categories and styles you choose.

Is TaskTagger free?

Yes. Every feature is free with no signup, no account and no usage limits on our side.

Does TaskTagger store my tasks?

No. The generator runs 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type or generate is sent over the network, stored on a server, or tracked. Downloading the .txt file saves the list to your own device only.

Can I use my own keyword?

Yes. Type any keyword — a project, a room, a person, a document — and the generator builds titles around it. Leave the field blank to browse across all categories.

What title styles are available?

Four: action-led (starts with a verb), deadline-driven (verb plus timeframe), priority-tagged (P1/P2/P3 prefix), and time-boxed (verb plus a time budget). You can mix styles in one batch.

How is the randomness generated?

TaskTagger uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues(), the same secure random source used for cryptographic operations, to pick verbs, contexts and timeframes.

Can generated titles sync to my to-do app?

Not automatically — that would require sending your data to a server, which this tool deliberately avoids. Use "Copy all" to paste into your app, or "Download .txt" and import the file.

Will this make me more productive?

Clear titles remove the ambiguity that causes procrastination, which helps — but a generator cannot decide your priorities or do the work. Treat the titles as starting points and pick the three that matter most.
